Tiling Kitchens-(Residential and Commercial)- Flooring- (Interior and Exterior)

 History:

I started "Tile Mechanic" as a sole Proprietor, back in 1988, in Chester NJ, my hometown. This was after working five years, for a large renovation outfit in Brooklyn Heights NY.

I learned Tile Installation the old fashioned way first: Wire lath, Scratch and mortar coat walls and Dry pack mortar floors. I became a lead man (A-Tile Mechanic) in the renovation of twelve story hotels, room after room, commercial kitchens and even large theaters, during the 1980's. From there I went into my own, "high end" residential tile installation business in 1988 working with Interior Decorators and "High End" Kitchen Installation Companies, making their clients happy.

While I began my company in New Jersey, I have served clients in, Connecticut, Boston, New York, Miami, Denver, Eastern North Carolina and now Charlotte NC. (Most of these jobs were for "Tile Showrooms", and "Dairy Queen" Food Court restaurants.) I have also volunteered my time and efforts with the "Kingdom Hall's" and branch office construction of Jehovah's Witnesses in many locations.

Since 2007, I have been working in Charlotte, NC and have intentionally stayed small. One or two clients at a time, is enough for me to handle effectively these days.

I would bring my 34 years experience in the trades with me, to your project.

Handicap accessibility takes some thought

This was a home in Florida. We transformed a walk in closet into a roll in shower. The Bath became 6' x 13' with a 5' x 5' shower. allowing one to roll from the bed to the shower without any threshold. Our client and caregiver are very appreciative and generous with their praise.
